Mary Ensslin is Named LVHHN Director of Government Relations

Lehigh Valley, Pa. (Oct. 9, 2006) – Mary T. Ensslin has joined Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network (LVHHN) as Director of Government Relations.

Ensslin was most recently Director of Court Services for the County of Northampton in County Executive John Stoffa’s administration. Before that she was Director of Community and Economic Development for US Senator Rick Santorum, where she met regularly with elected officials in 16 northeast Pennsylvania counties. Mary started her federal service as an aide to Congressman Pat Toomey in 1999.

Additionally, Ensslin has held public office both as a school board member and as a Northampton County Council member. Often recognized for community service, she has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Easton.

“Mary’s unique background of bi-partisan, multi-level government experience and leadership provides the depth of experience to represent Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network to our Lehigh Valley legislators and beyond,” said Elliot J. Sussman, MD, LVHHN’s president and CEO.

“I have long admired the culture of excellence at Lehigh Valley Hospital and am proud to have been asked to join their team of capable, inspired leadership,” Ensslin said.
